What Settle does

Moving to a new city is hard enough without having to guess which neighborhood is right for you. Settle makes it simple: pick a city, answer four quick questions about your commute, budget, and priorities, and we rank the neighborhoods that fit best — using live public data on crime, transit, cost of living, and everyday essentials, not stale blog posts. From there you can explore your new area — commute times, nearby listings, and what's around — before you ever sign a lease.

Settle currently covers New York, Chicago, Houston, Dallas, Los Angeles, and Philadelphia, with more cities on the way.

Why we built it

Settle started as a dad's side project to help his son figure out where to live when he moved to New York for work. Spreadsheets full of crime stats, subway maps, and rent listings turned into something more useful — and it grew from there into a product anyone moving to a new city could use.
